Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?

CHECK CONDENSER
Condenser clean reminder
Low
A fouled condenser coil forces the compressor to run harder and longer to maintain the freezer set point. In a busy kitchen you may notice the unit running almost continuously during warm weather — a sign the coil needs attention.
View
DOOR UNIT OPEN
Freezer door left open
High
Cold vapour or frost crystals are visible at the door edge, and warm moist air entering the compartment creates a visible condensation plume. Items near the front of the freezer may develop surface frost from the humidity differential.
View
E2
Freezer temp sensor failure
High
Depending on how the sensor failed — open circuit reads as cold, short reads as warm — the compressor may run without stopping or may not run at all, affecting frozen food preservation.
View
E5
Freezer frost sensor failure
High
More ice than normal builds up on the freezer back wall or evaporator coils because the defrost cycle cannot terminate at the correct evaporator temperature.
View
E6
Display-to-board comm failure
High
The control panel shows incorrect temperature values, dashes, or goes completely blank — the display module is no longer receiving valid data from the main board.
View
ERROR CODE...
Internal fault — check code
High
The Alarm button begins flashing rhythmically — the visual signal that draws attention before you read the display message. The steady cadence distinguishes this from a door-open or temperature alarm, both of which have different flash patterns.

FREEZER TOO WARM
Freezer compartment too warm
High
Temperature-sensitive items like ice cream, frozen yogurt, and fish fillets are the first indicators of a warming freezer — they lose firmness while meat and harder items may still feel cold. If these items are soft, the compartment has already been above 20 °F (-7 °C) for some time.
View
POWER FAILURE!!
Power outage recorded
Medium
After a power event, items in the freezer — particularly ice cream, fish, and meat — may feel noticeably softer than normal, indicating the interior rose above -4 °F (-20 °C) for a sustained period during the outage.

REPLACE FILTER
Ice filter near end of life
Low
As the carbon filter media saturates, dissolved chlorine and trace contaminants pass through more freely. Ice produced toward the end of the filter's life may have a noticeably different taste compared to ice made with a fresh cartridge.
