Error Codes

Meanings, severity levels, safe checks you can perform, and when to call a technician.

Enter the code shown on your microwave display

Is it safe to keep using it?

Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.

Can error codes be reset?

Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.

When should I stop using it?

Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
DISPLAY-FLASH-PF Power failure display flash Low When mains power is restored after an outage, the microwave display flashes continuously rather than showing a set time, signalling that the clock has been erased. View DOOR-INTERLOCK Door interlock fault High The primary interlock switch circuit is incomplete, preventing the cook relay from engaging. The display may appear normal but no cook cycle can be initiated regardless of the program entered. View ERROR-CLOCK-ENTRY Invalid clock time entered Low While stepping through the clock-setting sequence, the display switches to ERROR immediately after an invalid number is entered, halting the clock set process. View ERROR-SENSOR-COOK Sensor cooking humidity fault Medium The oven stops running partway through a sensor cook program — either within the first 16 seconds or after 5 minutes — before the food has completed cooking. View FAN-TURNTABLE-DEAD Fan or turntable dead Medium The interior light circuit and the door interlock system are working normally, but the AC motor circuits that drive the cooling fan and turntable have failed. The MO30STANE service manual directly maps this symptom pattern to cooling fan motor or turntable motor failure. View NO-DISPLAY Dead unit — no power High A fully dead microwave with no signs of life indicates a total loss of AC power to the control and display circuitry. The most common causes are a blown EMI noise filter on the AC input board or a blown internal line fuse. View NO-HEAT No microwave energy produced High The oven appears to operate normally — fan running, turntable rotating, timer counting — but no heat transfers to the food. A water test confirms: 16 oz of tap water at full power for 60 seconds should rise at least 38 °F; if it stays cold, microwave energy is absent. View SENSOR-ABORT Humidity sensor aborted cycle Medium The AH sensor runs a 16-second pre-sensing sweep at the start of every sensor-cook cycle. If the steam reading is outside the expected window during this sweep, the microprocessor aborts the cycle. Manual timed cooking bypasses this sensor entirely and works normally. View
