Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?
Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

CLEAN GROUP
Routine 50-cycle cleaning due
Low
The CM24 tracks brew cycles since the last routine cleaning. At 50 cycles — roughly once per week for a household making 7 drinks per day — it requires the Routine Cleaning procedure before drinks can be made again. Coffee quality may have subtly declined in the final cycles before the prompt appears.

DRAWER FULL
Used grounds bin is full
Low
The CM24 counts each brew cycle internally. When the count reaches the programmed threshold, it locks out all drink functions at the next power-on or at the next brew attempt, depending on the timing of the count.
View
ERROR - COFFEE TEMPERATURE
Coffee boiler sensor fault
High
The CM24 brew boiler must reach a precise temperature before any drink function is available. If the NTC thermistor reports an impossible value, or the boiler never reaches temperature within the timeout window, the control board declares a coffee temperature error and halts all operations.
View
ERROR - STEAM TEMPERATURE
Steam boiler sensor fault
High
The steam boiler must reach a higher operating temperature than the brew boiler. If the NTC sensor reports an impossible value or the boiler times out during warm-up, the control board shuts down the steam circuit and displays the error.
View
FLOW METER ERROR
No water flow detected
High
The CM24 flow meter detects that water is not moving through the brewing circuit. The machine immediately halts all drink dispensing to prevent the pump from running dry, which could damage the pump seals.
View
GROUP ERROR
Brew unit jammed
High
The brew unit piston mechanism attempted its cycle — compressing the coffee puck — but did not complete the stroke within the programmed timeout. The control board detected the failed cycle and locked out all functions to prevent further mechanical damage.
View
PLEASE MILK CLEAN
Milk system cleaning required
Medium
The coffee system refuses every brewing or dispensing command, with the display locked showing the cleaning prompt until the milk cleaning routine is completed.
View
SYSTEM OFF - FRONT PANEL OPEN
Front panel door open fault
Medium
Every button on the coffee system is ignored; the machine will not brew, steam, or dispense in any mode while the front panel is detected as open.
View
TIMEOUT FILLING UP BROILER
Boiler fill timeout fault
High
All buttons are disabled and the machine cannot brew, steam, or dispense — the boiler fill failure prevents any function that requires pressurised hot water.
